Business Development Manager
OBJECTIVE
This position is responsible for developing the Marketing department, achieving company Sales goals and executing sales plans within assigned accounts and territories. This position generates and secures new business-to-business sales revenue by prospecting and adding new commercial customers; generating revenue and profit in their accounts and territories; pro-actively selling services to existing customers, as well as conducting cold calls to prospective commercial clients; informing customers of company promotions, upgrades and up-sell opportunities. This is an AT-WILL, Exempt position.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives direction and supervision from the Executive Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Plans and prioritizes Marketing and Sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed upon business goals
- Achieves sales targets
- Provides knowledge and Marketing for services
- Builds network of prospective customers
- Attends networking events & builds relationships relevant to the growth of Dry Kings Restoration
- Manages Dry Kings presence on industry relevant events
- Performs onsite equipment and product demonstrations, as well as training in product usage, practical applications and cleaning procedures
- Creates and implements marketing strategies
- Integrates sales efforts with other organized marketing activities (promotions, advertising, exhibitions, telemarketing, social media marketing etc.)
- Consistently tracks the development of such strategies and their resourcefulness, in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Creates annual Marketing Plan and revises accordingly
- Develops business proposals and bids
- Prepares various presentations, as required, and assists in the oral delivery of business proposals and bids
- Tracks market intelligence in the industry with respect to market development, projects, competitive activity, customers etc.
- Monitors and reports on market and competitor activities and provides relevant reports and information
- Regularly attends client meetings, trade shows, networking events, conferences etc.
- Plans and manages business portfolio/territory
- Develops and maintains existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
- Serves as internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
- Researches and utilizes customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
- Responds to and follows up on sales inquiries
- Develops relationships and provides awareness of services to new/current customers
- Manages professional and timely customer service contact with clients, employees and vendors
- Reviews marketing activities of the staff to make sure that all appropriate personnel are taking an active role in meeting the Company goal
- Maintains marketing promotional items and is innovative in the development of new items
- Implements the marketing plan and achieves marketing goals
- Implements the company vision and mission and achieve goals
- Respects and maintains the confidentiality of company, client, and personnel information
- Demonstrates a positive image of the Company to staff and clients; this shall include oral and written communication and visual presentation
- Applies all safety rules and regulations and prevent work hazard
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to:

- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; must be proficient in reading and writing the English language

- Restoration industry knowledge and best practices
- How to gather information on the industry and the Company’s competitors

- Industry software and Websites: Xactimate, Contractor Connection, PSA, Code Blue and other similar programs.

GOALS 2020
- The goal for the position is to identify, develop, or evaluate a marketing/sales strategy to connecting with prospective clients and to start coordinating activities thereafter.
- We want to start building relationship with adjusters/property managers and agents right away. The goal is to build brand awareness, build a network of relationships and win prospective clients.
- Develop strategy to Build relationships with adjusters/property managers/fire department
- Help implement Proven CRM for relationship tracking
- Establish emergency response plan
- Send out monthly newsletter to contacts
- Develop database of existing/potential commercial clients
- Join BMIs/Lions Club/Rodeo Club > presentations
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/EDUCATION GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years relevant experience
Training/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or a related field
License and Special Requirements:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain an appropriate, valid California state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Computer literate with knowledge and experience with the Internet as a sales vehicle, LinkedIn, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess:
- Mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various partner or meeting sites
- Accurate vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Ability to communicate in person and over the telephone
- Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, writing implements, office equipment and calculator
- Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, walk, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. necessary to perform job functions
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employees may often work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
